#13 Egg Drop Challenge

The Egg Drop is a team building activity that involves collaboration, problem solving, and creative teamwork. Groups build a structure out of ordinary materials and try to protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped from a high elevation.

This Week My team consisted of 4 people - Me, Tommy, Marcus, and Thomas. We worked together to complete the egg drop challenge and to come up with an idea using the materials to make sure that our egg didn't break. The materials that we were allowed to use were an Egg, tissue paper, normal paper, plastic, string, tape and cardboard. We were also allowed to use a scissors and a marker.

To start off we came up with ideas. Our first idea was a parachute, but as we started to make it we realized it would be very difficult to get it right. Our next and final idea was to wrap everything around the egg. firstly we wrapped it in tissue paper followed by paper and then plastic. we then used the cardboard slices to put around it so it would reduce the compact from the drop and then tied the string around everything to keep it in place.

In the end our egg did not break unlike the other team who's egg smashed which proves we were the better team.

#12 21st Century Tools for working in a Team

Teamwork.com
This week we were put into groups of two - Me and Leanne. We were given a technology tool which was teamwork.com. We researched about this during the class and found out what it could do and whats so good/bad about it.
Firstly we set up a team on the website to see what we were able to do with an account. We found this website a little confusing as there are so many different options and buttons to press.
This website is very good for teams as you can create a project and add people to the project so they can see whats going on. You are able to set tasks for each other and see who has what tasks and see due dates for each task. You can also set milestones. One disadvantage if this website is they email you too regularly. You get 1-2 emails each day which we found was a bit much and you also get an email if the slightest thing is changed in the project. but at the same time if you are a person that needs to be reminded then its good that you get emailed each day to remind you of  your tasks.

#11 Connection with peers

    Winning a Football final match.
This happened because we as a football team had to have a good connection and get on with each other in order to have a good outcome.

With this we were very good at playing as a team.
We won many matches and lost very little. even when we lost we kept our hopes up to keep every player positive about our teams future. At the end of each game we like to praise each other on how well each other played and not dwell too much on mistakes.

Our best players helped others on the team that need some advice and top tips. No one had told them to help the other players out but they were doing it out of kindness to help the others to be better players. our captain organised nights out for the team to bond which i think really helped us.
